Interested in telling others about us? Here's some tips on linking to us:
Linking to our site in general: Give others our full URL http://fasd.typepad.com .
While "fasd.typepad.com" will also work, some people who see it will be tempted to add "www." in front, which may or may not work.
Linking to a specific category: If you are putting the link in an email or on a webpage, then of course use the full URL. For example, the page about respite has the following URL: http://fasd.typepad.com/fasd_support_in_alberta/respite/index.html
Linking to one specific listing: Specific listings can appear in several places. When they are first posted, they will appear on the home page. However, depending on how soon other new posts are added, they may not stay on the home page very long. Therefore, do not link to the home page if you wish to tell someone about a specific listing.
Listings also appear on one or more category pages. They will always remain as part of that category. However, some category pages have many listings and it may or may not be ideal to link to the category page if you only want to tell someone about one specific item.
Every listing has a "Permalink" link at the bottom, at the end of the list of categories which applies to it. Click on the "Permalink" and you will get a webpage which has only that one listing. That's the page you should link to (or email someone about) if you want them to get one listing directly.
However, if you are writing it on paper for someone, or including it in a newsletter, we recommend that you give them the general URL (see #1) and then tell them which category to select if this is helpful. This avoids the mistakes which can easily occur from manually typing in a long URL.
