This section of the Health Canada website 'profiles Fetal Alcohol Syndrome/Fetal Alcohol Effects (FAS/FAE) as it affects First Nations and Inuit communities and some of the strategies that are being used to deal with these conditions.'

It has a brief discussion of the issue and several links to other Health Canada documents. One of these is "It Takes a Community", a pdf document in two parts:  "A framework for the First Nations and Inuit Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and Fetal Alcohol Effects Initiative" and "Resource Manual for Community-Based Prevention of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and Fetal Alcohol Effects" (this 137 page document is extensive).
