Description:
'This video is about the permanent damage done to the unborn fetus of a pregnant woman when she consumes alcohol. It offers clear prevention and intervention information to women, families and all members of aboriginal communities. Three families share their personal experiences in raising children and grandchildren with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. The physical and behavioural characteristics of FASD are shown and explained during various stages of life. The emphasis is not on blaming women who consume alcohol during pregnancy - but on prevention, support and education. The video reaches out to all women who are pregnant or having unprotected sex, as well as educating families and communities, leaders and social/health professionals.' (from the webpage)
