Description:
ADHD - FASD Connections is session 3 of the Staff/Partners Videoconference FASD Learning Series. This event will feature Dr. David Shih, consulting psychiatrist with CASA Child, Adolescent, and Family Mental Health. Dr. David Shih is a child and adolescent psychiatrist who works with multidisciplinary teams at CASA Centre providing community psychiatric and mental health services to children from ages 3 to 17. He also worked for 12 years at the ADHD Clinic at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital. Dr. Shih is interested in the mind-body connection and the intimate interaction between human relationships and the brain.
Learning Objectives
1. Learn about the similarities and differences between FASD and ADHD.
2. Gain knowledge and understanding about the interplay between FASD and ADHD.
3. Gain knowledge and understanding of the treatment of ADHD with FASD comorbidity.
