Description: This two-day certificate (12 hours) workshop presented by the OBD Triage Institute, will focus on FASD sensitive treatment considerations, effective intervention strategies and intervention techniques for professionals involved in addictions prevention, treatment, counseling and aftercare.
The goals of this seminar are to:
Update clinical therapists and addictions specialists with the current medical, cognitive and sensory integration issues within this patient population.
Provide participants with evaluation tools to determine the best course of individualized treatment plan for the individual by evaluating medical disposition, social history, cultural factors and learning abilities.
Discuss variables in treatment modalities and establish strength-based, consistent provision of patient specific care and service delivery.
