"The Centre coordinates and undertakes activities to increase awareness of and prevent FASD. Multi-disciplinary, mobile diagnostic teams provide diagnosis, assessment, and intervention for children and adults throughout the region. Training is available about FASD, best practices for professionals and paraprofessionals. The Mothers to be Mentorship provides intensive mentoring and support to high risk pregnant women, assisting them to achieve and maintain sobriety in order to prevent an FASD birth.

"It is our focus to provide a fun and safe environment where children with FASD can be themselves." The Lakeland Centre for FASD hosts 6, week long camps between July and August. The camp will be held at Camp Cooinda on Ethel Lake just outside of Cold Lake, Alberta.
Eligibility • Diagnosis of FASD, ages 8-17, can be from anywhere in Canada
Camp fees are $500.00 per child, though families may consider seeking assistance through Family Support for Children with Disabilities or their local services clubs (i.e. Lions Club). The centre can assist with this.
